Signing for Sexuality for Interpreters of the Deaf and Hard
of Hearing

Do you know what skin hunger, attraction template, and the sexual
response cycle are? Do you know the signs for the genitals, transgender,
sexual assault (and more!)? This workshop will provide Deaf and
hearing interpreters the opportunity to increase knowledge of sexuality
signs, explore comfort with interpreting sexuality situations and
apply learning to skill development. In addition, time will
also be devoted to discussing how to interpreter for domestic violence
and sexual abuse related situations. It’s an interactive workshop
where interpreters can get a lot of information in a safe way. |
